Major Land Developments
Land is a valuable resource in Papua New Guinea. Majority of the land in Papua New Guinea is customary land. Throughout history land is being inherited from generation to generation thus making it a part of our lives and people have been using land for various development purposes to enhance their livelihood.
In terms of development, land is of high economic value and when this resource is fully utilized it improves the lives of all people. With the current growth that the country is experiencing the government is making every available resource on land.
The city of Port Moresby at this time is experiencing an increase in land development and with Papua New Guinea to host the South Pacific Games in 2015, the government as put millions of kinas into numerous  projects which are been carried out by various contractors to upgrade roads and the sporting facilities. Apart from the government funded projects there is also a boom in the real estate industry where companies and individuals are seen constructing commercial and residential buildings around the city.
