PNG Valuers Registration Board
The Valuers Registration Board is a statutory board constituted by Section 7 of the Valuers Act 1967.
Functions and Responsibilities
The functions of the Board include the qualification and registration of Valuers and disciplinary inquiry and action in cases of professional misconduct.
Structure
The Board consists of a chairperson, ex officio the Valuer General, and four registered Valuers appointed by the Minister for Lands, by notice in the National Gazette.The Board is housed within office of the Valuer General, Department of Lands & Physical Planning, Papua New Guinea and its registrar is a Department of Lands & Physical Planning employee. However the Board is an independent statutory body and is not subject to the Official Land Act.
