FREEHOLD TITLE REGISTRATION

The Office of the Registrar of Titles in registering the Freehold Titles keeps a Freehold Register known as the Certificate of Title Register and registers all Freehold Titles in this register by giving the title references; Volume and Folio numbers and issues a title over that freehold parcel of land. However, all documentation pertaining to the registering of this title are provided by the Land Titles Commission.

An application including survey plans must first be made to the Land Titles Commission for deliberation. The Land Titles Commission is under the Department of Justice and Attorney General. After deliberation, a Conversion Order (C.O) is granted to the applicant. This office will then register and issue a title in favour of the applicant based on the Conversion Order.

The Land Titles Commission can be visited on the 4 th Floor of the Sir Buri Kidu Haus (Former Australian High Commission Building) or enquiries can be made with the Registrar on the Telephone Number; 301 2938 or write to;
