Since the Office of the Registrar of Titles administers the Land Registration Act, Chapter 191, the office's day to day functions are guided by this act.

The office's function is also related to the Land Act 1996, National Land Registration Act 1977, Land (Ownership of Freeholds) Act 1976, Land Disputes Settlement Act 1975, Land (Tenure Conversion) Act 1963 and Land Titles Commission Act 1962
