Legal Services Unit

The main roles and responsibilities of this unit is to monitor and ensure that DL&PP maintains a sound legislative framework. The Unit is to represent the Department and Ministry in the National and Supreme Court and further the Unit Specialises in providing appropriate legal advice to DL&PP, the general public, statutory bodies, Government Departments, various stakeholders, the Minister and the Secretary of Department of Lands and Physical Planning.

The following are the types of services provided by the unit;

• Legislative review: - Review of appropriate legislations relating to Land and Physical Planning

• Legal Services: - DL&PP has and provides the best possible legal advice and representation
