What type of maps do you sell?

 

Answer: Provincial and District Maps, Topographic Maps, special Purposes Maps according to client specifications, photo mosaic maps, aerial photos, satellite images.

Would you have any town maps of PNG?

 

Answer: Yes, we do. For more information please refer to DCDB section of the Surveyor General's Office.

When were the last GPS data on the maps collected?

 

Answer: The latest GPS data like the roads, bridges, school locations, health facility locations and village locations were collected in 1998 and 2000 generally for the 2000 Census.

How much does a provincial or a district map cost?

 

Answer: Depending on the size of the paper and information required on the map. Normally, the District and the Provincial maps come on a A0 size paper and this will cost you PGK60.00.

How much do I pay for a 250,000 scale topographical map sheet?

 

Answer: Each sheet costs PGK10.00.

How much would a digital data from the 2000 GPS campaign cost?

How do I pay the map?

 

Answer: You can pay for the products offered by National Mapping Bureau by cash, Cheque, International Money Order or Bank Draft. Advance payment should be made before maps are to be printed. If out of Port Moresby, payments should be made by bank cheques. If out of the country, payments should be made by International Money Order or a Bank Draft. All Cheques, Money Order or Bank Draft should be made payable to National Mapping Bureau.

Who do I make the cheque to?

 

Answer: All payments should be made to the payable to the National Mapping Bureau.

How do I request for the products or services you offer?

 

Answer: Fill in a Request Form and send to National Mapping Bureau.

Can you print a provincial/district map (A0 size) onto an A4 or an A3 size paper?

 

Answer: This can be done but texts like village names, river names,etc will not be shown. The locations of features will be very close together. Too much inforamtion on a small size paper.
