Complusory Acqusition
A brief process of compulsory acquisition as depicted in Section 12 of the Land Act (1996)
Allowance made for landowners for objection in a formal written to the minister, stating their objections.

The notice to treat will apply after the declaration notice expires for the period of two months.

State acquires the customary land compulsorily when the landowners delay or refuses to discharge their interest

This process applies to National interest such as roads, bridges or other types of public easements.

The Compulsory Acquisition Notice is processed and published in the National Gazette declaring the interest of the State.

Completion of all land acquisition process, then purchase of land and compensation of Landowners.
