Land Administration

The Division's corporate objective is the empowerment of customary landowners and the effective and efficient administration of alienanted Freehold and Government land and State Leases.

The Land Administration Division provides the following services;.

We provide advice and process documentation on customary and state land ownership issues for Government, private organizations and the general public. We also provide advice to Customary Landowners on the optimum use of their land and encourage and assist them to participate in its development.

The Land Administration Division facilitates the process for equitable allocation of land by the Land Board and ensure that state land is available when required for approved purposes by controlling squatting and unauthorized settlement.

We administer State Leases and ensure that lease covenants are observed. The Land Administration Division ensures that the revenue generated from the allocation of state land and lease rentals are optimized and that all arrears and debts are properly controlled and collected.
