NOTICE TO ALL STATE LEASE HOLDERS
The Department of Lands & Physical Planning wishes to inform all State leaseholders that the Departmental Head of the Department has published a ‘ Notice’ regarding a list of all land lease rental defaulters in the National Gazette (Special) No: G117 on Monday the 08 th of August, 2005.
All State leaseholders are advised to inspect the list of rental defaulters which is available for viewing in the Revenue office on the 3 rd Floor of the Department of Lands & Physical Planning headquarters which is located at the Aopi Centre – Waigani, Tower 2, before the Department takes legal action in recovering the outstanding rentals. Copies of the list will also be made available for inspection at the Provincial Lands Offices in all the provinces for the convenience of the leaseholders.
The State leaseholders’ initiative to inspect the list can cause the Department of Lands & Physical Planning to compare their records against the leaseholders’ and remedy any mishaps or initiate any up dates as the case may be before the notification is used as prima facie evidence against the defaulting leaseholder.
